Founded in 1993 by Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano, LOT-EK is an internationally acclaimed design studio based in New York and Naples. Known for its innovative approach to design through the adaptive reuse of existing industrial objects not originally intended for architecture, LOT-EK has designed residential, commercial, and institutional projects in the U.S. and abroad, as well as exhibition design and site-specific installations for cultural institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Bohen Foundation.
