On May 7th the world's top creatives, advertising agency CEOs and heads of multinational brands from across the globe will converge on Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City for advertising's equivalent of the Oscars, the 33rd Annual One Show gala awards ceremony.

Produced by The One Club, the foremost nonprofit organization promoting creative excellence in advertising, presenters will award the coveted Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils for the best print, television, radio and innovative media of the year.

"Winning a One Show Pencil is a career-defining honor," says Mary Warlick, Chief Executive Officer of The One Club.

"While there are many other advertising awards shows, the One Show Pencil is the most highly regarded award among advertising industry professionals.

The One Show awards program is part of One Show Festival Week which for the first time will include One Show Design on May 6th at the Chelsea Art Museum.While design has been a part of the One Show since 2001, in 2007 a separate design awards ceremony was launched due to the growing emphasis on good design in the consumer marketplace and the overwhelming increase in entries in the design categories.
