Ergonomidesign: Winner of Largest Number of Prestigious Red Dot Awards

Ergonomidesign, the Swedish design consultancy, has won the largest number of Red Dot awards ever. The Red Dot award is one of the most renowned and challenging international design competitions worldwide. With 36 "dots", Ergonomidesign is at the top of innovative and high quality product design. In this year's competition, Ergonomidesign received three Red Dots and two honourable mentions for products from RTI Sports, BabyBjorn, Haglofs, BRIO and Hultafors. In total 3,203 products from 51 nations faced the expert judges this year.

Products submitted for the Red Dot design award are assessed by an international jury consisting of renowned design experts. They examine and test the products and assess them by criteria such as the degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, longevity, ecological compatibility and clarity of function. This year companies from 51 countries with a total of 3,203 products faced the jury. Having received three awards (and two honourable mentions) in this year's competition Ergonomidesign now has a world-leading collection of Red Dot awards, at least 36.

"We are really proud of being the consultancy with the most awards in a competition as prestigious as Red Dot. We have always known that our design generates international recognition and business value for our clients. Now we have more facts to prove it. Our clients also deserve some credit, since they are brave enough to challenge traditional design and dare to invest in new and innovative solutions." says Krister Torssell, Managing Director of Ergonomidesign.

In the 2008 competition, Ergonomidesign received awards for the baby carrier Synergy from BabyBjorn, the outdoor sports bags Vulcan and Crater from Haglofs, the Hultafors hammer and received honourable mentions for the bicycle handles GX2 from RTI Sports and the toys Sonic Farm from BRIO.
