The Turkish newcomers GAEAforms has started it's second season with Maison Objet Paris this fall. Their new collection illustrates a dimension of elegance with energized and youth ideas. The trick for the beauty in combining composite materials with plywood is what the designers searched for in their new collection. 01 Storage System consists of chest of drawers, storage for drinks and a cabinet with several dimensions. By combining two contrary materials and processes - wood and composites, the designers Pinar Yar and Tugrul Govsa have created an experimented surface that is sealed with each other to create an illusion of a molded wooden cabinet surface. Wooden box, with a more linear process is combined with an organic molded piece of composite material. This gives depth to the storage unit, functions as a handle and makes object look as if it was breathing.
Additional to the storage units, dining tables have made their way into 2009 collection which the Step Dining and Cross tables will be a choice for creative diners. Designed to complete the set with 3 Step and 2 Step chairs, the elegant Step Table and for a more sportive fun look the Cross table is created by the designers and co-founders of GAEAforms.
The next step for the collection is to take place with one of its representative in London Barbed, at Decorex Exhibition Fair between the dates of 21st and 24th September. The Decorex exhibition provides professional interior designers, retailers, architects and hotel designers with a beautifully edited selection of the most innovative and aspirational suppliers. Company founded by Pýnar Yar and Tugrul Govsa, goes forward to become a permanent player in the field.
