Twilight: Flooring Design Where Neither Light Nor Darkness Prevails

Twilight is the state where neither light nor darkness prevails. It is the frontier that divides the day between dark and light. The inspiration for the 2009 collection of floor designs from Bolon comes from the world of magic, and the colours are reminiscent of dusk - the change from light to dark, shadowy and shimmering at the same time. Twilight from Bolon is a frontier between the floor, the room and whatever lies between.

Twilight is a collection of shimmering woven metallic floors that come in three different qualities with different colours and structures. The colours are reminiscent of dusk. The muted colours provide the floor with a deep and exclusive impression that intensifies the contrasts in the room. At the same time, the floor has a comfort and structure that creates interesting shadows and adds depth to the room. Inviting, challenging and full of surprises.

The contrasts are what unite Bolon's new collection. Modern and classic, discreet and grand, light and dark. The three structures are available in three spectacular dark earth colours with varying shades of mysterious blue and shadowy brown. Despite the huge contrasts, the collection creates a perfect whole.

"We have used the large areas of a hotel environment as a source of inspiration where we clearly see how one pattern is used in the lounge, one in the rooms and a third one in the corridors. Wonderful individually, but perfect together," says Marie Eklund head designer at Bolon.

Twilight has the same specifications as previous collections, meaning functionality, fire safety, textile appearance, high comfort and environmentally friendly production. For the flooring to work in different environments, Bolon has placed substantial resources into developing highly durable products.

Moreover, for the first time Bolon is launching a collection of rugs with leather trimmings and tailor-made carpets and tiles.
