ADC 89th Annual Awards Winners

The Art Directors Club announced the winners of its prestigious ADC 89th Annual Awards.

BBDO New York was the top agency winner with three ADC Gold Cubes, followed by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Wieden + Kennedy with two Golds each.

On the client side, HBO received three ADC Gold Cubes, including two for "Cube Film Installation" in the advertising (unconventional / guerilla) and design (environmental design) categories, while NIKE "Livestrong Foundation" and The New York Times Magazine each won two Golds.

Colgate also receiving two ADC Gold Cubes, one each for the "Comics" campaign by Prolam Y&R, Santiago, Chile, and "Take Them Out" from Miami Ad School Europe, Hamburg, Germany.

ADC Cubes were awarded for work from 25 countries this year.

The ADC 89th Annual Awards will be presented on May 19, 2010 at the SVA Theatre at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

This year marks the first time the club has ever presented a best-in-show ADC Black Cube, which was introduced last year, and the first time in 12 years that ADC has made such a selection.

In addition, ADC will name recipients of this year's Agency of the Year, Network of the Year, Design Team of the Year, Interactive Agency of the Year and School of the Year honors, based upon cumulative points for this year's winning work, and the ADC Vision Award, presented by the ADC Board to a company or individual whose work embodies the ADC mission and presents breakthrough ideas.
