Every July in London at New Designers, some 3,500 newly graduated designers come together representing the top 200 design courses from across the nation to meet industry employers, the media, trend predictors and a design hungry public.
In 2010 New Designers will have been running for 25 successful years.
Its longevity testifies to its success as the leading showcase of graduate design talent, presenting the work of the next generation of professional designers as they emerge from the UK's design courses to make their impression on the creative sector.
The satellite event within New Designers -One Year On showcases a specially selected group of some small companies and individual designer-makers whose work has matured and progressed in the first year in business.
Following the success of One Year On in 2009, the feature will be curated again by manufacturer and distributor Thorsten van Elten.
