Carbon Wins Six Good Design Awards

World-recognized product development consultancy Carbon Design Group has captured six awards in the 2010 GOOD DESIGN competition.

The Carbon wins span a range of industries including consumer electronics, medical, life sciences, industrial, and sustainability. "The Carbon team thrives on challenge and variety. The depth and breadth of our team's experience is what allows us to cross-pollinate and create products that delight clients and consumers alike," said Carbon Design Group president Dan Blase.

In the Electronics category, the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 and the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 were recognized. Both of these BlueTrack mice were designed in close collaboration with the Microsoft Hardware User Experience Team.

Carbon's two wins in the Medical Category, the Pathway JETSTREAM Atherectomy System and the Nanopoint Microfludics Controller have both been previously recognized with IDEA, Spark, and ID awards.

Digital Control Incorporated's DigiTrak F2 Drill-Head Locator picked up a GOOD DESIGN award in the Industrial Category. The DigiTrak F2 has previously won awards in the IDEA and Spark competitions.

Carbon's final GOOD DESIGN award was for Impact: Motivating Energy Efficient Behavior which was created in partnership with Seattle-based design consultancy Artefact. This Carbon/Artefact collaboration was also recognized with a 2010 IDEA award.
