MFA Design Ideopolis Thesis Forum

MFA Design Ideopolis Thesis Forum

Ideopolis is an exhibition of products, campaigns and services developed by 20 students graduating from the MFA Design Department at SVA. Both commercially viable and culturally significant, these products have been realized through graphic, web, industrial and motion design. The exhibition is curated by Ada Whitney, a faculty member at SVA and co-founder and creative director of Beehive.

The members of the graduating class will also present their work at a daylong thesis forum held at the SVA Theatre, 333 West 23rd Street, on April 20 from 12 to 6:30pm with doors opening at 11:30am. An endnote will be given by designer and SVA faculty member Scott Stowell, proprietor of Open. The thesis forum is open to the public and provides an opportunity to learn more about each project directly from its creator. To encourage further dialogue, a closing reception will follow the event, ending at 8pm. Reservations for the thesis forum can made at mfadesign.eventbrite.com. A live webcast will be streamed at acrobat.com/ideopolis.
