Akiko Iwakawa Joins Cut + Run

Akiko Iwakawa has joined Cut + Run's roster of editors. Akiko is known for such compelling commercials such as Nike "Classic," AT&T "Up & Up," Reebok "Migration," and LG "World of Steam," and provocative and original music videos for Lou Reed, Johnny Cash, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Bright Eyes, and Depeche Mode.

Over the years, Akiko has collaborated closely with such groundbreaking directors as Patrick Daughters, Marco Brambilla, Chris Milk, Mehdi Norowzian, Chris Nelson, Stephanie Sednaoui, Anna Gaskell and the late Nagi Noda on inventive and thought-provoking projects for advertising, film and art exhibitions.

The daughter of theater actors, Akiko studied cinema at NYU. Her editing approach combines a passion for art and problem solving with a joyous appreciation for visual art.
