GlobalLogic Acquires Method: Adds Product Design Capabilities

GlobalLogic has acquired Method, a global design and innovation consultancy headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in London and New York.

The combined organization extends the range of services both companies currently offer, from ideation and design, to execution and completion. Adding Method's strong user experience design and innovation capabilities to the core GlobalLogic technology R&D offering, both companies can help accelerate innovation for customers like Google, Comcast, Samsung, Nokia, Microsoft, Williams-Sonoma, MoMA and the BBC.

"Our clients view the integration of user experience design into R&D outcomes as a critical success factor for many of their products," said Peter Harrison, CEO, GlobalLogic. "Apple has raised the bar across all market segments - customers now expect advanced technology and design elegance in the same package. By adding Method's strong experience design and innovation capabilities to our core technology R&D offering, GlobalLogic is strongly positioned to help clients bring innovation to their customers."

Method will become a new business unit within GlobalLogic and will continue to operate under the Method name. Method founder and CEO Kevin Farnham will report to GlobalLogic president Shashank Samant.

"For Method, joining forces with GlobalLogic is a natural step for us to continue to innovate and deliver complete solutions to our clients," said Kevin Farnham, CEO of Method. "GlobalLogic shares many of the same values that have contributed to Method's success. We see this as a great fit for our team and our clients."
