Director Andreas Nilsson Joins Biscuit Filmworks

Andreas Nilsson is joining Biscuit Filmworks for commercial representation. Andreas is known for his art-driven, often surreal and playful style of directing.

Andreas is a classically trained painter and sculptor and entered into the world of commercials by way of the music industry; a background that is evident in the elaborate, impactful imagery and sound weaved into his advertising campaigns. His early work as an animator/director for Swedish musicians quickly parlayed into a career directing commercials and music videos. Andreas has been directing commercials for just under three years and has produced memorable spots for Target, Gevalia, Cadbury, Nike and others. With extensive experience in set design, art direction and music videos, he has also worked with artists ranging from Miike Snow, Röyksopp, Peter Bjorn and John, Moby, Jose Gonzales and MGMT, and has also designed stages, video projections and costumes for the acclaimed Fever Ray world tour and the Royal Theatre in Stockholm.

"I've had a great run in recent years, devoting my time equally across commercials, music videos, fine art installations and design work for concert tours and theatre," said Andreas. "At this point I'm looking to dedicate the majority of my time to making commercials and look forward to heading into this next phase at biscuit filmworks."

"Andreas' commercial work is great and full of unexpected surprises," said Shawn Lacy, Managing Director, biscuit filmworks, "His skills as a fine artist are evident in all aspects of his filmmaking-from the incredibly detailed set designs to the gorgeous visuals and handmade costumes that appear in much of his work."

Before joining the biscuit filmworks roster, Andreas was represented in the US by Furlined; he continues to be represented by Blink in the UK, Bacon in Scandinavia and Czar in France, Germany and Holland.
