Yang Kim, executive creative director for Peopledesign, has been selected to chair the AIGA National Board Nominating Committee 2013.
The nominating process is designed to identify, encourage, and enlist the active participation of dedicated professionals in the service of AIGA at a leadership level.
As a chair of the nominating committee, Yang and the committee members are responsible for selecting and nominating the board slate, considering the roles and contributions of departing board members, and making sure the makeup of the board addresses the current needs of the organization.
"We feel that Yang Kim's knowledge of the design profession as well as her extensive involvement with AIGA make her an ideal candidate for this role," commented Richard Grefe, executive director for AIGA.
There are five incoming board positions available for the 2013-2015 term. Nominations may be sent directly to Yang Kim at yang at peopledesign.com for consideration.
