Felice Silverman Inducted IIDA President 2013-2014

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) has inducted Felice Silverman, IIDA, as IIDA President for the 2013-2014 term.

"Felice, through her steadfast commitment to the design profession in all its dimensionality, has earned the esteem of the design community," commented IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP.

"Her visionary leadership in all aspects of the profession renders her an invaluable asset not only to IIDA but to Design. We are honored to induct her as President of IIDA for the coming year and look forward in earnest to the innovation and insight of her leadership."

Silverman has been a practicing Interior Designer for more than 20 years and serves as both president and principal at Silverman Trykowski Associates Inc. in Boston. As a Designer, her focus areas include spaces for education, children, healthcare, fitness and commercial office interiors.

An educator and an active volunteer in the Interior Design community, Silverman serves on the IIDA Finance Committee and the Perspective Editorial Advisory Board, held a two-year term as the Chair of the IIDA Foundation Board of Trustees, and is a Past President of the IIDA New England Chapter. She also served on the Board of Trustees at Boston Architectural College and currently serves as its overseer. She is currently adjunct faculty at the BAC and in the past has served as Chair of the BAC's Interior Design Advisory Board, as well as Co-Chair of the Student Affairs Committee.
