The 2016 Franz Award, an international porcelain design competition, is now open to submissions for both students and professionals in two categories: Porcelain Design Group and Concept Design Group.
With this year's theme of "Shine," Franz Award aims to seek innovative porcelain designs for a better tomorrow. Prizes add up to US$35,000 and finalists will be invited to Beijing for the final competition ceremony.
The Porcelain Design Group seeks porcelain designs that are suitable for mass production but not yet launched on the market.
The Concept Design Group searches for designs that possess innovative ideas but are limited to today's technology and are unseen on the market.
Deadline for submissions is July 14, 2016.
