Entries are open for the 2016 Hida Furniture Design Competition. Participants are asked to create a wooden product that looks toward the future, while drawing on tradition.
The organizers seek new furniture, lighting or building products, made of domestic lumber using Hida's techniques, with an aim of commercialization.
The deadline for applications is August 22, 2016.
