MUJI Unveils Reclaimed Wool Collection

MUJI recently unveiled its new Reclaimed Wool Collection. For this collection, MUJI worked with textile designer and MUJI advisory board member, Reiko Sudo, in adopting the 100 year old process of restoring high quality Japanese wool from vintage garments by washing, cutting and reworking the clothing into wool thread which is then used to create the new collection.

MUJI enlists skilled artisans, who work in Aichi, the historic wool prefecture of Japan, to handle the recycling process. The six-piece collection, which includes clothing and accessories, ranges from $20-$59.
