Deirdre Renniers recently completed the interior design for the custom-built 52 meter Amandira yacht for Aman Resorts. Amandira is a luxury custom-built, 52-metre, two-masted Phinisi sailing and diving vessel. The boat is beautifully handcrafted in the traditional Indonesian boat-building method, known as 'Pinisi.'

When Aman Resorts agreed to operate the sailing vessel as part of their portfolio, they commissioned Deirdre Renniers. Amandira was already under construction at the time of her engagement. Renniers' first challenge was to change the cabin layout to a more intimate design, accommodating up to 10 guests.

Having worked with Aman Resorts in the past, the designer had a good understanding of their operational requirements as well as their guest expectations. She worked closely with the client to re-plan the layout to include only five luxury guest cabins. Three cabins are fitted with king-size beds, and two cabins have bunk beds. Each double cabin features a living area with a daybed, as well as a spacious bathroom with shower and twin vanities.

The deck level interiors comprise of a large lounge and dining area and, tucked away at the rear, is the master cabin with a private outdoor lounge area featuring an oversized daybed. Below the decks are two luxury guest cabins and two smaller bunk cabins. The foredeck features sun loungers, daybeds, and an outdoor dining area where guests can relax in the sun or enjoy drinks at sunset.
