ARCHITECT magazine is now accepting entries for its 11th Annual R+D Awards. The competition aims to celebrate the groundbreaking research, materials, and technologies that are advancing the building industry at every scale-from design strategies and building systems to products, software, and fabrication methods.
The R+D Awards competition is open to architects, engineers, fabricators, manufacturers, researchers, faculty, and students worldwide. Entries must have been in active development or completed after Jan. 1, 2014 (in-progress work is acceptable).
Entries will be judged for their documented innovation in fabrication, installation, user engagement, and performance as well as their potential to advance the aesthetic, environmental, and social value of architecture.
The deadline for entries is April 19, 2017.
