The Type Directors Club has announced a daylong series of typography talks and a reception in New York City on March 10.
Since 1967, the TDC has awarded twenty-nine TDC Medals to honor major contributions to typography. To celebrate this legacy, TDC has invited a stellar group of medalists and designers to speak about their careers, type innovations over seven decades, and the future of type.
Type over Time will feature talks and conversations with medalists Ed Benguiat, Louise Fili, Paula Scher, and Erik Spiekermann, as well as presentations by former TDC presidents Allan Haley and Charles Nix, and a panel of four young designers (Greg Gazdowicz, Elizabeth Carey Smith, Jessica Svendsen, and Zipeng Zhu), moderated by Debbie Millman.
