Matchstick Monkey Scoops European Product Design Award

Matchstick Monkey recently won a Silver European Product Design award. Designed by 'mumpreneur' Katie Windridge when her daughter was born in 2015, Matchstick Monkey is a fun, flexible baby teething applicator which provides an ideal solution to the problems encountered when babies are teething.

This fun soft, flexible textured teething toy has bumps on the back of the head to help keep recommended gels or granules in place whilst massaging those back gums at the same time. Designed with safety in mind, the product's wide monkey arms provide an easy to grasp surface for infants to hold on to, as well as allowing parents to apply recommended teething gels or granules right to the source of the pain, soothing sore gums.

The wide arms coupled with the short neck and legs stop children from choking and provide a safe toy which can also help improve their motor neurone skills. It can also be used as a pre-training toothbrush to teach early oral hygiene.
