Type Directors Club is hosting "See/Hear", a collection of all-type posters from New York City designer Mike Joyce's Swissted project, which merges his obsessions with punk rock and modern Swiss type. The exhibition is currently on display at Type Directors Club through February 2, 2018.
Joyce has redesigned vintage punk, hardcore, new wave, and indie rock show flyers into hundreds of International Typographic Style posters. Each design is set in lowercase Berthold Akzidenz-Grotesk medium, and every one of these amazing shows actually happened.
Mike Joyce is the founder of Stereotype Design in New York City, a studio specializing in wide-ranging projects for the entertainment industry.
