Philadelphia Design District Officially Launches

The Philadelphia Design District officially launched this week, initiated by independent business owners in an area spanning Second and Third Street to Market and Race. This eclectic community of shops, boutiques, art galleries and bistros is a community presenting the best in creativity and design in the vibrant and dynamic neighborhood of Old City.

The Philadelphia Design District is where the collaboration of ideas and services have enlivened and transformed this enclave into a vibrant destination for residents and visitors. It is a place where a Minotti sofa, a Nakashima wood chair, contemporary European outdoor furniture, handmade local ceramics, contemporary and vintage Persian rugs, ceramics and sculpture from artists like Kevin Finklea, Roberto Lugo and Gregory Nangle can all be found in one neighborhood.

The Philadelphia Design District's Premiere showcase will feature designers, artists, and world-renowned brands, celebrating Philadelphia as the newest urban design destination. Curated by Mona Ross Berman Interiors, an acclaimed Philadelphia-based interior design studio, the event invites those to challenge the trends of design. This showcase will be open to the public on select days between April 14th-April 28th.
