DesignLSM Creates a Destination Dining Experience for Prime Beaconsfield

DesignLSM has completed the Beaconsfield location for steak house Prime. Set in a former furniture shop, the third restaurant for the chain is the most impressive to date, with DesignLSM delivering an opulently designed interior, housing a 200 cover restaurant, private dining room for 30 and a show stopping central curved bar, for a further 60 people.

The two-floor restaurant attracts a diverse audience from ladies that lunch, 'special occasion' family venue to a big weekend crowd and out of town guests. The inclusion of the impressive bar aims to extend Prime's core offer, of high quality casual dining, to a destination bar experience offering speciality cocktails and a comprehensive international wine list.

On arrival, guests are enticed in by the striking shopfront; adorned in layered metal screens over a glazed front, the distinctive, DesignLSM designed, logo sits above the deco style crittall windows and door, back lit for heightened drama. The glass vestibule, features bespoke glass shelving displaying a selection of the fine wines on offer, leading guests inside the restaurant and to the central bar.

"It was refreshing to work with a client that is so customer focused, as this truly led the planning process," commented Lead Designer Rebekka Andrindottir. "Every seat was optimised to provide the customer with an intimate, premium and beautiful dining experience. It was really exciting to take the existing design concept to develop into areas that are new and exclusive - merging the existing and new in terms of the design and the architectural language whilst keeping true to both narratives."

The design scheme utilizes key features from the sister Prime restaurants, making the brand easily identifiable and re-enforcing the key brand traits: Elegant, Warm and Refined. A chic colour palette of navy, chocolate brown and tan are used throughout, conveyed through the bare brick walls, exposed ceiling beams; with warm yellows from the hand blown glass pendants dotted throughout the space.

High quality materials including rustic stained oak flooring, chunky walnut wood tables, luxurious leather high booth and singular dining chair seating complement the bespoke aged brass screens throughout the space; alongside the striking staircase.

Bar Area

The curved bar is a prominent feature of the main floor, creating a 'members bar' ambience. Geometric Grestec tiles frame the bar flooring area, with a distinctive glass gantry above, offering both form and function.

Private Dining Room

New to Prime, the PDR reinforces the 'destination dining experience' for Beaconsfield. Oak panelled walls house an impressive sculptural display of wine bottles. The space is framed by navy sliding doors allowing guests to have the privacy of their own space if they wish.

Captain's Table

Two Captain's tables have been introduced to the restaurant. The first situated on the main floor treats guests to a lavish and central spot, creating an atmosphere of being in the 'hub' of a busy restaurant, offering an opportunity to 'be seen' by fellow diners. The second Captain's Table situated downstairs gives guests a more private space with direct views of the pass, entertaining guests to exclusive culinary theatre. Both spaces offer an even more sumptuous experience with high leather button backed booths framed by brass screens and specially commissioned single Techn Lumen globe lights hung above the tables.
