Autodesk and MakerBot Launch Fusion 360 Design Challenge

MakerBot and Autodesk have launched a design challenge that asks entrants to create a wearable that keeps someone safe while commuting; a desktop notification device; or an office desk organizer for compact workspaces.

Contestants need to design a product in one of those three categories in Autodesk Fusion 360 and submit their entries on Thingiverse, as well as tag their entries with the design challenge tags.

The top finalists in each category will get to attend Autodesk Fusion 360 Academy in Portland, Oregon, August 5-7, where they will compete LIVE at the Autodesk Fusion 360 Design Slam Finals. The winners will get a MakerBot METHOD (1st place) and MakerBot Replicator+ (2nd place), among other prizes.

The competition is open to anyone aged 18 and over, residing in the United States. The deadline to submit entries for the design challenge is May 31, 2019, at 11:59 PM EDT.
