The International Interior Design Association (IIDA NY) has teamed up with Free Arts NYC for the 11th Annual Sustainable Quilt Auction. The event brings together the creative minds of New York's design community to bid on extravagant quilts created using discarded fabric samples.
Gaining inspiration from this year's theme of 'Unity,' design teams comprised of the city's top interior designers paired with students, ranging from 15 to 18 years old, to create the eight different quilts that will be up for auction.
As in previous years, all proceeds from the auction will benefit Free Arts NYC, the local organization that is empowering underserved youth through art and mentorship programs, helping develop their creativity, confidence, and skills to succeed. The event's co-chairs and quiltmakers will be in attendance to share further insight into how this annual event has impacted the local design community for the past 11 years.
