Additive Industries has launched its 6th 'Design for Additive Manufacturing' challenge. Every year, the competition challenges professionals and students to redesign an existing conventional part of a machine or product for 3D printing or to come up with new inspiring designs of functional parts.
A professional jury will evaluate all designs submitted and assess whether they contain the distinctive features and freedom additive manufacturing has to offer.
"We are looking forward to this 6th edition of the challenge, with inspiring (re)designs to eliminate manufacturing difficulties, reduce the number of parts or minimize assembly," commented Daan A.J. Kersten, co-founder and CEO of Additive Industries. "Every year we are overwhelmed by the growing amount of the inspiring designs and the broader view on design for additive manufacturing."
The deadline for submissions is February 1, 2020.
