The 2020 Boston Design Week will take place all across Greater Boston from March 25th to April 5th. The 7th edition of the 12-day citywide festival aims to draw more attention to the importance of Boston as a hub for design innovation, showcasing the prevalence of design in our day-to-day lives and to expand the design community, ultimately making information more accessible.
In addition to the wide array of design programs and events, this year Boston Design Week has been chosen to host the World Design Week Forum as part of the festival. The Forum is an international gathering to share knowledge, resources, and best practices, and foster the exchange of products and ideas, sustainable development and the growth of the coalition of design events worldwide. Under the theme "Global Design Innovation" Boston will invite delegates from sister Design Weeks in Barcelona, Beijing, Bogota, Chiang Mai, Dubai, Eindhoven, Helsinki, Mexico, Prague, Seoul, Tokyo, Toronto and others as well as design weeks and design festivals in the United States.
Non-profit organizations, design-related businesses, schools and universities, professional design associations, government agencies, individual designers and designer collaboratives are all invited to propose events for Boston Design Week.
