Superdesign for Superfurniture calls for proposals from students in all fields of design, architecture, illustration and arts for appliques that will wrap monolithic steel masses that function as 'super furniture' at POST Houston, the OMA designed redevelopment of Houston's downtown post office headquarters.
There are no limitations as to the theme, but participants should develop a design narrative in keeping with the design philosophy of the project. The winner's work will be considered for fabrication and be feature in the 550,000-square-foot mixed-use commercial hub, expected to open its doors at the beginning of 2021.
The deadline for registrations is May 25th, 2020.
