TRUCK Product Architecture for Nurseryworks

Nurseryworks, the noted specialist in handcrafted contemporary furniture, bedding, and rugs for the kids of design-savvy parents, is now working with TRUCK Product Architecture. The up-and-coming design firm, founded by architects Jennifer Carpenter, Jonathan Marvel, and Rob Rogers in 2000, turns heads and enlivens interiors with its sleek, smart furniture for adults and kids, and its distinctive modern housewares. Like Nurseryworks, TRUCK emphasizes designs that make the modern home more fun to live in. Its clients include, among others, Kate Spade, Pure Design, and Studio Nova.

Nurseryworks, which concentrates on beautifully made and highly adaptable designs that can evolve from the nursery to other areas of the domestic landscape, has commissioned an initial introduction from TRUCK Product Architecture that consists of the Loom Crib, Studio Crib, and Goodnight Glider and Goodnight Ottoman. These designs fit neatly into the Nurseryworks family of products: numerous options allow customization to suit individual requirements for utility and style; in addition, the pieces are detailed and manufactured to suit a visually informed adult aesthetic. Forms and colors are both modern and contemporary, and materials are unusual, durable, and sophisticated.

Loom Crib + Studio Crib
TRUCK has conceived of two cribs that not only add design zest and visual interest to the baby's room, but that easily convert to toddler's daybeds. Each has its own set of options for customization.

The Loom Crib is offered with one figured end design and two slat types: low-VOC lacquer in snow, and natural catalpa. Two combinations are available: snow ends with natural catalpa slats, or snow ends with snow slats. Features of this crib include a fixed side rail, standard full size crib dimensions, and three point adjustable mattress height.

The Studio Crib is offered in all Nurseryworks low-VOC lacquer colors, as well as zebra. Designed for function, the crib frame incorporates a roomy hideaway cabinet with an integrated changing table. The changing table lowers slowly and easily. Standard features include a fixed side rail, standard full size crib dimensions, three point adjustable mattress height, and under crib drawer. Like its sibling, the Loom Crib, the Studio Crib converts to a toddler daybed, while the cabinet converts to a built-in desk. Like all Nurseryworks furniture, the Loom Crib and Studio Crib are beautifully detailed, well-finished, and made to last.

Goodnight Glider + Goodnight Ottoman
A contemporary reinvention of the classic rocking chair, the Goodnight Glider and Goodnight Ottoman offer the modern mom and/or dad a comfy place to soothe a restless baby. Like all Nurseryworks furniture, the glider and ottoman are conceived for life beyond the nursery: the glider has a clean, simple form softened by a few subtle curves, and adapts easily to lounge use in adult living spaces.

Both the glider and the ottoman are built with a bent plywood base, a choice that choice that permits extreme strength from a very slim silhouette. The upholstered portions of each piece are covered in a choice of slightly textured microterry or a velvety-to-the-touch canvas, felt, microsuede, twill, or twill with piping, all cozy fabrics created with sophisticated technology. The base of the ottoman incorporates a useful shelf, designed to house a book, magazine, or toy. In the Nurseryworks spirit, the Goodnight Glider and Goodnight Ottoman are well-detailed, and beautifully constructed and finished.
