Nottingham City Council's bid to become World Design Capital 2012 is off to a good start, due to the successful marketing campaign by Lawrence & Pierce.
As a company that has worked within Nottingham's design industry for over 20 years, marketing communications agency Lawrence & Pierce were perfectly placed to handle the campaign, and after fierce competition from several other agencies were delighted that their 'i am *' proposal was selected to front the exciting bid opportunity.
Their eye-catching brand is designed to highlight that there is more to Nottingham than meets the eye, and will have resonance across the wide range of design disciplines that the city boasts, which vary from world-class cycle and swimsuit design to drug development.
Lawrence & Pierce's innovative and highly targeted marketing approach is designed to appeal to, and interact with, the creative industries. A free- standing 3D brochure was sent to various design influences in the city, generating interest and awareness in the bid from supporters including Nottingham born designer Paul Smith. To create public excitement about the bid a Raleigh Chopper display was organised in the city centre, celebrating just one of many successful designs that has been created and developed in Nottingham.
