The Design Council has launched the search for a new Chief Design Officer to head up its design strategy, direction and partnerships.
The role will be the design lead across the broad range of demonstration and coaching projects in areas such as health, crime, public services and business
The post involves responsibility for driving forward the Design Council's growing portfolio of programmes, working with organisations and government departments such as the NHS, Home Office, B.I.S and others to help them engage design, technology and industry in the rapid development of innovative design-led solutions to complex problems.
"Work like this needs leadership and strategic direction, as well as fresh thinking," said David Kester, Design Council Chief Executive.
"I'm looking for exceptional design talent to join a high performance team and lead projects which change lives and have real social impact - and we know that the design community has that in abundance".
