Keisei Electric Railway's newly designed Skyliner received the 2010 Good Design Award.
The train serves the company's New Narita Sky Access route connecting central Tokyo and Narita Internation Airport in neighboring Chiba Prefecture in just 36 minutes.
Renowned designer Kansai Yamamoto gave the train the theme colors of blue and white.
In handing out the annual award, the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization praised the train's outer appearance and its comfortable yet functional interior.
