The successful partnership between San Francisco-based design firm Ammunition and chart-topping artist Lady Gaga broke new ground today with the announcement of three innovative Polaroid products. Ammunition and Lady Gaga, who have previously collaborated to produce the Beats By Dr. Dre "Heartbeats" earphones, collaborated to envision and design three new imaging products that will launch Gaga's Polaroid Grey Label line. In her position as Creative Director for Polaroid, Lady Gaga worked closely with Robert Brunner and Ammunition to develop the design of the innovative products.
The industrial design horsepower behind Beats By Dr. Dre, Barnes & Noble's Nook and the award winning Fuego line of modern outdoor grills, Ammunition has been involved in a string of products that have helped to design the current state of consumer electronics. Led by Brunner, the former Director of Industrial Design at Apple Computer, Ammunition has a thriving practice in product development, brand strategy, graphic and user interface design.
"Our mission as a company is to create exciting new products based on compelling ideas. Then we drive those ideas throughout the consumer experience. This is how you succeed in the world of product development today," said Brunner.
Ammunition worked closely on the three products announced today with Gaga, Haus of Gaga and Polaroid. The alliance between Ammunition, Lady Gaga and Polaroid is focused on realizing her vision of Grey Label and creating exciting products that carry iconic qualities, modern design and a high level of functionality.
"Working with Gaga is amazing. Our role is to understand her vision, create new product concepts and then collaborate to bring them to market. Collaborating with her and Polaroid to redefine the Polaroid brand in an incredible opportunity," added Brunner.
The three innovative Polaroid products announced today include: the Polaroid PolaPrinter GL10 Mobile Printer, the Polaroid GL30, and the Polaroid PolaRez GL20.
The PolaPrinter GL10 Mobile Printer, available April 2011, makes creativity simple with a no nonsense feature set that uses ZINK Zero Ink technology to print digital images from a range of devices, including Bluetooth mobile phones, digital cameras and computers.
