Herman Miller Healthcare will recognize promising professionals as part of its Herman Miller Scholarship Program for Intern Architects in Healthcare. Through this program, the Company will sponsor eight individuals with architectural internships to attend HealthcareDesign11, the Center for Health Design's and AIA Academy of Architecture for Health's industry-leading annual conference held in Nashville, November 13-16.

The Herman Miller Scholarship Program for Intern Architects in Healthcare recipients are selected by the Academy of Architecture for Health based on their previous professional experience, a 400-word essay that describes their interest and experience in healthcare architecture and a recommendation letter from a current principal at their firm. Additional eligibility requirements include a minimum of one year, maximum six years' work experience as intern architects, with one year of experience under the supervision of an architect working on healthcare projects or one year of work experience in a healthcare facility. Past Herman Miller Scholars and AIA/Academy Scholarship or Fellowship recipients are not eligible. Each selected intern architect receives up to $1,500 to cover registration fees, air travel and hotel room costs. Recipients will be announced in September 2011.
