Bombay Sapphire Sky Pavilion

Bombay Sapphire Sky Pavilion

Bombay Sapphire Sky Pavilion is an innovative, interactive installation developed as a uniquely commissioned project in partnership with ENESS and Right Angle Studio. The pavilion gives visitors the chance to use their imagination and their bodies to manipulate a sky of virtual clouds and star constellations in a truly unique sensory experience.

The journey begins as you enter the pavilion and draw in the atmosphere of a perfect spring day. Carefully controlled sounds, aromas and temperature, merge in this artificially created environment, to heighten your senses and leave you feeling like you are lying in a golden meadow.

Your eyes will gradually adjust to the blackness before a virtual sky appears with your own perfect white cloud. By moving your hands and body you can change the shape of your cloud, sculpting it into your own work of art.

"This is all done using our special projection software. It allows us to capture people's image in real time and translate their silhouette into millions of particles. Those particles form together to make our volumetric clouds," said ENLESS creative director Nimrod Weis.

"Your could then goes on a journey to meet other clouds. Your cloud will also be able to form recognisable shapes like an obovate, diamond or a cuneate. The experience continues as the sunsets and your sky is replaces by a brilliant night sky full of strs. Through the use of motion-sensing technology, you can shift stars to arrange a personalised constellation."
