Arjowiggins Creative Papers commissioned the agency jäger & jäger to design a bookmark as an insert in the 2016 exhibition catalogue for FIAC, the most influential French art exhibition in Paris. Each of the 10,000 copies got an individual motif using HP Smartstream Mosaic technology together with HP Indigo print technology.
The entire jäger & jäger team developed a multitude of illustrations, which were respectively attributed to a certain subject: Literature, art, print, design, typography. The individual illustrations were compiled to a large mood board by overlapping them by 50% respectively. The HP technology then extracted individual motifs from this board for one side of the bookmarks.
The second side of each bookmark shows one of nine high-quality papers in an almost blank state bearing one from a total of nine selected quotes from authors and artists as a commentary to the extremely diverse individual excerpts on the motif side.
As the dog-ear is presumably the most basic form of a bookmark, one of four randomly selected folds was added to each of the bookmarks.
