Adobe Releases State of Create: 2016

Adobe has released the State of Create: 2016, a global survey that found investing in creativity pays off with tangible benefits - from higher income to greater national competitiveness and productivity.

Top findings of the report include:

- Creativity pays off. People who identify as creators report household incomes 13 percent higher than non-creators.

- Creativity positively impacts society and the economy. Global respondents believe being creative is valuable to society (70 percent) and the economy (64 percent). More than 2/3 of respondents believe people who are creative make better workers, leaders, parents and students.

- Investing in creativity leads to business success. A business that invests in creativity is more likely to increase employee productivity (78 percent) and have happier employees (76 percent). The bottom-line impact is real: Businesses investing in creativity have more satisfied customers (80 percent) and are more competitive (79 percent).

- Few people are realizing their creative potential. Despite the positive impact of creativity on society, there's a gap in execution. Only 41 percent describe themselves as creative and 69 percent report they are not living up to their creative potential.
