Entries are now open for the 2018 LUMA Blueprint competition. The competition is open for entries by anyone with an idea they think will make people's life better with few limitations beyond that.
The LUMA Blueprint competition has been established to help entrepreneurs with the first difficult steps with product innovation. LUMA-iD and the sponsors have all supplied their prize with the hope of giving someone the early-stage help they need to get an idea off the ground and onto their next step.
The prize totals £2000 of product development, including £1000 of industrial design time from LUMA-iD. Winners will also get £500 worth of 3D printed prototypes, printed by high-quality SLS nylon 3D printing pioneers 3DPRINTUK. DesignSpark from engineering staple RS Components will also provide you with £200 of parts to build your working model, and once your product is proven, early-stage investment fund The British Design Fund will be giving you 2 sessions of business development advice, worth £300.
Deadline for entries to Blueprint is on January 20, 2018.
