Milestones in Contemporary Design 2020-2021, on view at the Red Dot Design Museum from June 23 through May 31, 2021, features the 76 winners of the Red Dot Product Design Award.
The exhibition includes Honda e, a small electric car that the jury for the Red Dot Award considers one of 2020's truly great products despite its diminutive size; and the Apple Pro Display XDR, with a rear view that boasts an innovative lattice design to improve functionality. Yet another are the electric bikes 'VanMoof S3 and X3,' which are not only easy to ride but also even more user friendly thanks to a matrix display in the frame's top tube and further functions.
The products on display fulfil the four qualities of good design, the quality of function, use, seduction and responsibility. These products set new standards in their respective industries and clearly stand out from the competition in terms of function and aesthetics through their innovative power and design.
