TPG Architecture Implements Store Design Concept for Panerai's New Hudson Yards Location

TPG Architecture has implemented the design of a new retail space for the high-end luxury Italian watch brand, Panerai. In an effort to expand their reach and enter the Hudson Yards market, Panerai enlisted TPG Architecture as Architect of Record for this retail project. TPG was tasked with implementing the design and construction of the design conceptualized by Panerai's internal team in Italy.

Situated among the other Richemont brands and looking out over the Vessel and adjacent plaza, Panerai's new 995 square-foot space is located on the ground floor of NYC's newest retail and culture site, Hudson Yards. TPG Architecture used their prior experience working within Hudson Yards to accurately translate Panerai's luxury design in order to emulate an Italian lifestyle that inspires watch enthusiasts to shop. In line with Panerai's target clientele, the store exudes a prominent masculine energy, evident in the choice of dark paneling and cool tones throughout the space.

Laced with opulence at every turn, all of the installed millwork and stone selected for the store were imported directly from Italy, maintaining a connection with the brand's roots. On the back wall, the clientele will find a striking clock face which creates a focal point, with the surrounding merchandise display cases branching off for browsing. The store also includes an exclusive, lush VIP lounge with a high-end coffee bar for select shoppers that heightens the experience and specialty of the brand.
