Kalon Studios has unveiled the 10th-anniversary editions of their iconic Caravan Crib. Introduced in 2010, the Caravan Collection was originally made from solid American Maple, and has become the go-to nursery product for design-minded parents who care about the environment. To celebrate the piece after ten years, Kalon is releasing the Caravan Crib in two new hardwoods - Black Walnut and solid American White Oak.
In keeping with Kalon's commitment to ethically produced furniture, each piece is hand-rubbed with Kalon's own premium, organic plant-based oil and wax finish (non-toxic, biodegradable and safe for children of all ages). Designed with longevity, and of course sustainability, in mind, the crib can also be converted into two different toddler bed styles for use in the home well beyond the nursery years.
Kalon also partnered with cult LA-based textile brand Morrow Soft Goods to release three limited-edition crib sheets in colors selected by Kalon - Bone, Mauve and Yolk, all woven from 100% French or Belgian Flax. Flax Linen is a strong fabric that will endure for years, and is a perfect fit to the Caravan Crib.
