Lambie-Nairn Scores UEFA Euro 2012 Broadcast Identity Programme

Leading branding agency Lambie-Nairn has been handed a flagship account by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

The agency has been appointed to develop a comprehensive broadcast identity toolkit for the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, a key element in extending the promotion and visibility of the competition and brand.

With a vision to create an enduring legacy for European football, the essence of UEFA Euro 2012 will be captured on screen through dynamic and innovative sequences that communicate the spirit of achievement and competition between Europe's finest national football teams.

Each official broadcast rights holder will be supplied with opening, closing and break bumper sequences as well as on-screen match graphics to use in the tournament itself, as well as at the final draw later this year.

"Fans across the world are looking forward to the tournament, so it is critical to create a concept that excites them, whilst at the same time building a sense of anticipation," explained Adrian Burton, Executive Creative Director of Lambie-Nairn.

"A coherent and consistent broadcast concept across all markets will create a recognisable identity that a competition of this stature deserves."

Lambie-Nairn was in competition with five other agencies to win the work, and is expected to deliver the new broadcast identity and toolkit by the close of the summer 2011.
