August recently debuted a brand new flagship lock: the August Wi-Fi Smart Lock, which provides the functionality and security that August is known for in a sleek package the size of a standard doorknob, designed by fuseproject. It is 45% smaller in volume and 20% slimmer than the August Smart Lock Pro, and is available in matte black and silver finishes.

"Unhindered by keys, we are allowing families to come in and out of their home safely and reliably, and with our latest August product, continuing to make that dream a reality," commented Yves Béhar, co-founder of August and founder of design firm fuseproject. "After launching 9 door entry locks, cameras and keypads, we are thrilled to introduce the latest category defining August product: the completely re-imagined, smallest sized smart lock ever, and always connected August Wi-Fi Smart Lock.

"Designed and engineered from the ground-up, this new flagship smart lock is the most advanced smart lock on the market. We had this advance in our sights since the early days of August, and after 2 years of development we achieved the balance of features and functionality with a form factor the size of a doorknob. It is August's smallest, most comprehensive smart lock to date. With Wi-Fi connection built-in (no additional bridge needed), the lock offers the highest level of smart software, without the bulk of the previous generations. Close collaboration between the August and fuseproject teams lead to a compact design impressively 45% smaller in volume and 20% slimmer than the previous model pro model. This significant decrease in size and the addition of on-board wi-fi and the latest technology makes the August Wi-Fi Smart Lock the perfect solution for any smart home."
