CuldeSac has created a new shopping experience for the Spanish supermarket chain Consum, placing the client at the center of the design. Under this concept, a 2,000 square meter supermarket has been created that offers an agile, intuitive and personalized experience.
The new supermarket in Benicàssim has been designed to unify & simplify the current furniture of Consum, and to provide a space with a coherent and clear hierarchy that helps shoppers understand the distribution and location of the sections and corridors. The layout and height of the furniture have also been studied in order to give shoppers optimal distance and reach.
In-store communication is also a differentiating factor in this space. Aerial signage has been reduced to eliminate visual noise. The new pictograms and color codes let shoppers find what they want quickly.
