    2020 New York State Council on the Arts Independent Project Grants

    The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) is offering Independent Project grants of up to $10,000 for architecture, design, and historic preservation professionals. NYSCA's 2020 program in Architecture + Design is offered to individuals or teams to creatively explore or research an issue or problem in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, community centered design, historic preservation, fashion, graphic, industrial, and/or interior design that advances that field and contributes to a broader understanding of design.

    2019 In-House Creative Management Report by InSource and inMotionNow

    InSource and inMotionNow have released the second Annual In-House Creative Management Report. The 2019 survey of 566 creative and marketing professionals finds that leaders in both camps scored marginal grades and points to a range of challenges in the organizational relationship, team alignment and collaboration - which stem from the natural challenges that come with growing in-house creative teams. More importantly, an analysis of the data links these challenges to the effects they have on creative operations and efficiency.

The annual award is given to creative talents across all fields that are engaging with design including designers, curators, architects, and luminaries who have made significant contributions to the field of design that offer a tangible and lasting impact on the world around us.

    WE DISSENT... Design of the Women's Movement in New York

    "WE DISSENT... Design of the Women's Movement in New York," on view at the Cooper Union from October 2, looks at more than 150 years of feminist artifacts and printed matter from a variety of feminist and radical artists and collectives such as the Heterodoxy Club, Redstockings, the Guerrilla Girls, and more. The exhibition features more than 200 artifacts by women artists rarely seen and shown in order to reconsider the contributions of women to social unity and justice.
